Donald Lucove, CPA, Partner

Don became a CPA after graduating from California State University, Los Angeles in 1966. He has taken many post graduate classes and courses to further advance his knowledge of taxation and accounting. His expertise in management and profitability of small businesses and related tax issues has been shared with more than 425 Southern California businesses.

During the first ten years of his career, Don worked with a national CPA firm, also as controller of national retailer Jeans West, a subsidiary of New York Stock Exchange listed Edison Brothers Stores, Inc., and served as Vice President-Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Earl Scheib, Inc. listed on the American Stock Exchange.

Don is extremely active in local community organizations and events. He is past First Vice President and treasurer of the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce, and a founding member of the Calabasas Optimist club. Don is also very active in local civic activities, interacting with the Calabasas Old Town Business Owners and lending support to City of Calabasas affairs, chairing the inaugural Mayor Recognition dinner and serving as a coordinator and overall chair of the annual Chamber/City Pumpkin Festival in October which attracts approximately 20,000 people.

Don has also taught income tax and accounting classes at Los Angeles Valley College and UCLA. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Richard Say, CPA, Partner

Ric has thirty years of experience working with the accounting needs of small to medium closely held businesses. He is a graduate from the business administration program at California State University, Northridge; he also plays an active roll in his church and in other community programs.

Ric specializes in financial statement reporting, cash flows, forecasting, budgeting and general business planning. He has advanced training and substantial continuing education classes in accounting theory and practice. He also has substantial experience and training in the area of real estate and partnership tax. He has advanced training in the area of real estate issues such as tax deferred exchanges, formation and liquidation of partnerships, acquisitions, sales and other transfers.

Ric is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
